Privacy policy

DRAFT for legal review. This page is a working draft prepared for the owner's lawyer. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed before the service charges anyone.

What we collect

Name, email address, mobile number, date of birth (to confirm you are 18+), state and postcode (the service is not available in South Australia), your consents, login and delivery records, and — if you arrive through a link — which link or campaign it was. Card details are entered on our payment provider's page; we never see or store them. Affiliates also give us an ABN and bank account details; bank account numbers are encrypted at rest. Advertisers who book our sign give us their business name, the ad's text and website or handle, any logo or image for the sign (kept privately, and deleted within 30 days of their last date), and an email address. We never collect tax file numbers.

Why

To provide the service: verify your age and location, send your tips to your verified address, bill you, prevent fraud, pay affiliates, run and report on advertisers' bookings, meet our legal and tax obligations, and — only if you opt in — send occasional news.

Who we share it with

Our payment provider (billing), Google Workspace (sending email), our hosting provider (DigitalOcean, Sydney region), Cloudflare (encrypted backups), Sentry (error reports, with personal details stripped), and our professional advisers. Some of these providers may process data outside Australia. We do not sell or trade personal information, and we never share it with bookmakers.

Security and retention

Access is restricted to staff using an authenticator app. Financial records are kept for 7 years as tax law requires. Records of which link you arrived through are deleted after 13 months. Other data is kept only while needed to provide the service or meet a legal obligation, then deleted or de-identified.

Your rights

You can access or correct your information from your account or by emailing [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we handled a privacy matter, contact us first; you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Cookies

We use essential cookies for login and security, and first-party cookies to remember which link referred you (60 days). No advertising trackers.
